Here we wanted to show the detective running up the stairs and taking out his gun in case he has to come eye to eye with the criminal.
I took this shot placing the camera on the table, to put the ringing phone in focus and detective coming towards it in blur whereas he is followed by the setting sun as a back-light.
Here we wanted to show how the shadow of the detective reaches the table before him using the sun as back light, so that it creates a mysterious/dramatic look of something is wrong.
This is where the detective comes towards the phone and sees his daughter's necklace and after picking it up in his hand flashback of memories with his daughter start.
All these scenes are shot by Nikon D7100, ISO 640 and shutter speed 1/60. We chose sunset time for these shots because we wanted to use the setting sun as a source of back-light to give a dramatic look and in one scene we wanted to use it as a kick light for the detective's face where one part of his face is fairly lit whereas other is a little dark to show a dramatic tensed look on his face.
